A handy guide of hidden fees to look out for when you hire a car

I’ve never actually hired a car. I’ve hired plenty of vans (there’s something really empowering about driving a big van). But I don’t have the experience of car hire.

On a random tangent, one of my favourite comedy moments is in Planes, Trains and Automobiles. I think about that moment every time I want to take my jumper off whilst driving.

So, if I was to rent a car – I really wouldn’t know where to start.

For example, you can return a car with a full tank of fuel and should opt for a ‘full to full’ policy – I’ve learned something new there.
