Credit scores always used to be a great mystery to me. Something that only became important if you applied for a loan or a mortgage. And it was very hard work to try and find out what your score was. I believe the internet has made it marginally easier to get access to your score but you still have to go through a process to get it. As far as I know, but I have never applied for mine. It’s a lot easier to keep up with your Klout score that’s for sure.

I think most people are not even aware that the credit score exists until they apply for a loan and get turned down. And then it’s a crash course on how to improve it.

I do know it is a good thing to ensure you are registered on the electoral roll and also to limit the times you apply for loans as excessive applications can damage your score.

I get to see lots of random infographics here at Infographic Love and I always love to learn about new things. The Evolution Money credit score infographic is a very useful graphic as it tackles a subject most people could benefit from learning more about.

The banner design is very strong, I love the unicycle on the tight-rope and it balances so well with the typography. It has strong visual impact and draws you into the subject – just what a banner should do. Each section is clearly defined with different backgrounds and styles, i especially like the Space Invaders style. Typography is strong throughout the design and all stats and data are well highlighted and easy to read. Icon use makes it very accessible to understand what each section refers to and the overall level of design is high.

Overall I would give What is a Credit Score Infographic a 7.5 out of 10.
