4 Lessons in Project Management

Straight from the workshop of LiquidPlanner comes this infographic that explores how some of the biggest names from the Renaissance completed some of the greatest works of not only their time, but in all of human history.

A period of rapidly developing ideals, culture and art, the Renaissance was one of the golden ages for collaboration in human history. Great minds came together to accomplish big undertakings. Sometimes they were funded by the state, as in the case of the Leaning Tower of Pisa, and sometimes they were the brain child of private individuals and groups, as was the case with the wonders to come out of Leonardo da Vinci’s workshop. The common theme that held these projects together was innovation and a desire to push the boundaries of what was possible. To be able to do this without the aid of modern communication while enduring delays caused by wars, political intrigue, infighting and lack of resources is nothing short of inspiring.

Take a minute to learn some of the strategies from these days of yore, where grand projects were measured not in days or months, but in generations, and ponder how they might be applied to your company or organization.
