Life expectancy is increasing, fact. Only a few generations ago people retired and had a few years before they expired. Now the age limits are being pushed constantly, I even read an article a few days ago that claimed in the very near future you could expect to live to 500 – if you were super rich of course! The older generation are the fastest rising demographic and with that comes many issues. Such as healthcare, mortgages and insurance. Trying to get a mortgage over a certain age is near impossible (that has to change, surely?) and of course many people think that can’t get life insurance either.
I have to confess I don’t have insurance, medical care or even a pension. I like to live dangerously (hah) and I don’t really consider these factors, probably because I don’t have any dependents. But most people with families want to ensure their families will be provided for when the inevitable happens.
Life Insurance For People Between the Ages of 50 and 80 Infographic from www.FinancialSumo.com runs through the factors that can affect your insurance quote, what the cost is per age group and insurance options available. As a person who knows nothing about insurance I actually find this interesting because it tells me what is available and I love to learn on any subject.
The banner of the design is very bold and striking and tells you exactly what it does. This is insurance, but the graphic does a good job of making that subject accessible and informative in bite sized chunks. The data is presented well with visual graphs and clear charts. My recommendation is that the type be a little bigger as some 80 year olds may struggle to read but the design is clear and well sectioned.
Overall Life Insurance Costs at 50, 60, 70 and 80 Infographic gets a 7 out of 10.
