This infographic outlines the story that destroyed a 168 year old newspaper. It is actually 18 months old but I came across this recently and loved the design and the collection of information so much I wanted to share.
Now this was big news and more of a scandal that the NOTW had ever reported in its crummy rag. I am not sorry to see the paper go and the story is still ongoing with the imminent trial for Rebekah Brookes.

The News of the World Phone Hacking Scandal is a fascinating series of events and seeing it laid out in this timeline infographic makes for very interesting reading, seriously even the NOTW couldn’t have made this up. It’s actually unbelievable what happened and the comment that ends the graphic:
“How they justify what they did remains a mystery”
sums it all up really.
Love love love the design with the use of photos combined with illustration – very nicely done. It animates the series of events well and the striking black and white background is reminiscent of newsprint.
I reckon this has to be:
