I honestly am most surprised that the English Premier League, for football, only begin in 1992. I’m trying to remember what we had before that?
Two of the top players in this infographic are players I have grown up with. I actually met Ryan Giggs once. Alan Shearer was also a player who I knew well (but didn’t actually meet).
I have to confess I’m not the world’s biggest football fan but the stats in this graphic are of great interest. It’s well researched and offers a fantastic history of players. I think the stat I am surprised with is that Alan Shearer has remained the top goal scorer and no one has managed to beat his record. No surprise that Sir Alex Ferguson is top of the manager’s list. But, holy cow, 85 million for Gareth Bale!
The Premier League All Time Records infographic from UTCointraders.com is a great example of seasonal content done well. Timed to coincide with the end of the season, it is factual and most importantly – it is really interesting.
The design of the graphic is slick. Each section is clearly divided. Stats are clearly highlighted and typography is clear. My favourite bit of the design is the illustrations of the players. Crisp, clean and representative. An all round great piece.
Overall The Premier League All Time Records infographic gets an 8 out of 10.
