There was considerable argument about the cost to London of the Olympics. The city residents were first reassured that the cost would be no more than £2.5 Billion pounds. In the end many are angry that almost 9 billion pounds was eventually spent in a time of recession and social care cut backs. This infographic spells out the resources and cost of the London Olympics including the £647 Million pounds spent on performance bonuses for contractors who were given a very generous building schedule and completed most projects a year ahead of the games.
